The Future

Me and everyone I know will not be around four centuries from now and I will not see the advancements that technology will fruit. There are two possibilities I can think of two possible futures and one is delightful while the other is a living hell. Today, we are walking a fine line between harmony and destruction because the economy and environment are currently in a bad position. But advancements that could solve these problems are growing every day so there is still hope. There are two paths that could be followed: our problems could be solved and we will live in an utopia where everything is well or things go wrong and the world faces an apocalypse. At this point in time, I can not tell which way things will go and I probably will never find the answer so I simply hope things will work itself out.

Letter and Other Worlds

The poem "Letters and Other Worlds" by Micheal Ondaatje is about the narrator's father who is suffering from alcoholism. Because of this alcoholism, the narrator was never able to connect with his father. His mother and father are not on good terms either which only worsened the situation. In the end, he was never able to reconcile with his father and has left him with nothing but regret.

Poem on the drawing

He sat there thinking
he was so concentrated that he wasn't even blinking
There was a sad look on his face
As if he had lost all his grace

Did something happen to him?
He also looked a bit too slim
As I wondered, a strange came over
And I was assured that the man just had a hangover
